Richard Cory is about a man who everyone looks up to, but doesn’t have a good life like everyone thinks. The poem is an A-B-A-B  rhyme. It is also a narrative.  The theme of the poem is, ‘money can’t buy happiness’. Because one summer night, Richard Cory shoots himself.
